A Post Mostly in Pictures

There was too much fog this morning to catch the sunrise. Instead, a few hours later I went for a nice long walk and attempted to practice my photography. I'm no Jane from Crabapple Landing but I am happy with a few. When possible, I tried to take two shots of the same view, one up close and personal. Warning, there are 24 pictures below, so you may want to scroll fast. I'm also throwing in a picture of the cabin, taken with the sun behind me. I was blessed with two perfect weekend days.

      I couldn't pass up a lovely field, now could I? This one withthe rolling hill in the back is about a mile up the road from the lake.

      I can take no credit-just reap the benenfits. DH and his brother worked really hard with his mom and the architect because the rules on replacing a building near water were so tight and specific. It couldn't take up any more than the original cabin foot print with the exception of 200 square feet. Every inch is used inside with a current family of 18, with more , hopefully, family members being added in the years to come.

    What lovely photos! A cabin, to us Brits, is a single storey wooden building, that's bigger than most houses! xxx

      That's what was there, but with a large family with multiple generations, a year round home replaced the old. It should be ther for many more generations.

    That's one heck of a cabin Sam and your pics are great. Plus just a comment on your previous post none of us are perfect and we sometimes fall off our own particular wagon etc however true strength and character is re-commencing our journey every single day.

      I seem to relaunch regularly-hope I never stop trying. I'm learning about light and how to position camera, but I an happy with theses efforts.
