I Remember This
I fondly remember sipping ice tea outside on a warm summer night. Grabbing a book or magazine and relaxing in the warmth of the sun, water at the ready for a quick cool down all the way into early evening. There is no better sight than my kids enjoying their friends, swimming in a clean and cool lake.
And fall was absolutely wonderful in Minnesota. The first apples peaking in early September, different varieties ready for weeks in repetition. Even as Halloween approached, we still had sunny days and light jacket weather.
Those are what I will remember as now am faced with this drive and this weather for the next three to four months, knowing all this will come again. If you live in warm climates, send me your warm thoughts. At least the temperature this morning was in not negative digits. We've warmed up to 5 F. It's going to be a long winter.

Warm thoughts coming your way! It's supposed to rain here tomorrow, and then a week of sun. Highs are around 55-60, so not exactly tropical, but significantly warmer than "snow" weather. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteRain and 60 sound great!
DeleteWe're on the same wavelength, I'm looking back at past Indian trips to cheer myself up. Our weather isn't a patch on yours which looks beautiful but, I imagine, a logistical nightmare. Stay warm and thinking sunny thoughts. xxx
ReplyDeleteRoads are difficult and the cold makes my breath steam my glasses so I miss the pretty bits.Your trip will be here soon.
DeleteSending warm thoughts and I would share the warmth if I could. It is about 65 and sunny here today. It is a little breezy so long sleeves work well but a jacket is not necessary. You picture made me clod!
ReplyDeleteMy car warms up about the time I reach home!
DeleteIt's unseasonably mild at the mo where I am but damp misty and moisty. No snow thankfully, the whole of the UK grinds to a halt at the first flake lol. After Christmas I have got to drag myself through January then off on my travels again so better weather will be had.
ReplyDeleteNo winter travel plans so I'll be just dreaming about warm. I ask myself why do I live here and the answer is laziness.
DeleteYikes!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you not getting the cold yet? I won't wish it on you.
