Feeling Good Friday-Flu Edition

I crawled into bed achy and sniffling Wednesday night, and might be feeling partially human this morning. I'm taking it easy today-light work from home, lots of tea, water, perhaps some toast. I hope you are all staying we, but let me tell you some words of advice. If you feel like you are getting sick-listen to your body and do not push through. If you are anything like me, it will be 10 times worse later.

    1. I'm feeling human again. Rest, no food, and lots and lots of fluids.

  2. We should always find the time to listen to our body. I've started to do that only in retirement. Well, better late than never.
    Feel better soon!

    1. As i was about to get up and go to work yesterday, I just had to tell myself to stop! I wouldn't be productive. I would be transporting germs. It shouldn't be so hard to say I'm sick, but it is.

    1. I've had the cough since the middle of January, but this, hopefully, will be the end of it since I got the full blown fever.

  5. I’m with Duta here only since I’ve finished work do I listen well I think I just ignored what my body was telling me during my working life due to the unpleasantness following time off work it just wasn’t worth the grief most colleagues did not take kindly to staff going off sick. Now I’m no longer in that frame of mind I’m taking care of me and I’m fitter stronger and much healthier for it.

    1. Fortunately, I don't get the back lash form colleagues, but of course the work just sits there waiting, and I get behind. It is a vicious cycle.

  9. I was resting because I could do nothing else. I still got ten times worse later on. I don't think it is possible to slow down the progress of feeling bad with the flu. Or, maybe that is just me.

  11. My daughter just came in very sick. So I'm busy making tea with honey and chicken noodle soup. Flu is very wide spread this year. Hope you continue to improve!
