Feeling Good Friday-Trying Better Next Week Edition

I didn't even weigh myself this week. It was not a healthy eating week. Drinks and food that 
I have not been eating so liberally for the past 10 weeks or so were consumed every day. We are up north for a family wedding. Up north means anything north of the Minneapolis and St Paul suburbs. Pup has my niece pet sitting but he was pretty angry with us when we loaded bags. 

 We picked up my mother in law at about 9:00 and were her by noon. Always a treat for me to spend three hours with no escape, but I sat in the back with DD2 so missed much of what she was talking about. We found DD1 and had lunch at Olive Garden. Later, me and the girls found a cute diner for shakes. Tonight the grooms dinner, and I have wine chilling for a relaxing night once we are back. I'll post more later, but here's a picture of my girls on a perfect summer day in Minnesota.

    I take it you were being flippant about being trapped in a car for three hours with your mother-in-law! Ha ha! From what I can tell your girls don't seem to look at all alike do they - but they are both very pretty. Anna

      Yes, I was being a bit of a snark in my MIL comment. She can be a lovely woman, but has a hard time just enjoying silenece so fills it with story after story about people we do not know, do not need to know about, and in details we probably shouldn't know!My younger daughter looks more like me and older more like my husband. I think they are very pretty as well.

    This sounds like my husbands mother too I have bever known anyone talk so much non stop and expect everyone to know the people she's on about most of whom are dead lol. Your girls are very lovely Sam.

      My mom did this a bit, but she wasn't the talker my MIL is.On the drive home, I think she went 90 minutes straight talking. At breakfast I heard an at least triple repeat of a story about a big fancy wedding she went to outside of Chicago-didn't know a soul in the story. If she wasn't always like this, I'd say it is because she is lonely since my FIL passed away. I just nod, smile, and let her talk. Thank you about my girls. I think they are pretty lovely as well.
