Frosty Five Minute Wednesday Post

It's cold in Minnesota. The little ones are going to need to bundle up tomorrow night. I thought we might get a good turn out since it is on a Thursday and many parents might take Friday off, not worry about the kids getting too much sugar since the weekend is approaching. I bought 10 bags of candy-for 80 or so kids. DH may get leftovers and will be happy. I was not frugal on candy buying as we haven't had 80 kids for a while.

It's cold in Minnesota. Yes, the heat went on well before November. I'm not frugal enough to say just put on more layers. And more layers. And yet, more layers. We are not Little House on the Prairie and I don't need to be rickety and lame because I slept odd trying to stay warm. The thermostat is at 65. OK-one layer.

I broke my no new clothes challenge. Well, it was a thrift store find for $4.00 of a new denim skirt. I've wanted a denim skirt for years, ever since I finally donated the one I had that I absolutely loved but most definitely was not going to get my butt into again. Not frugal, but not a spend thrift. I'll still stay under my overall $60 for the year though.

I've actually cooked a couple meal's, but of course not the plan I posted a couple days ago. I plan and do not follow. That is my life. We have more leftovers to use up, which will likely be Friday's dinner. I'm picking up a Papa Murphy's for DH on route home and I'm going to Trivia. Maye he'll save me a slice for my Thursday lunch.

That has been five minutes and all the time I allotted this morning. I have 10 hours of work before 10:00 so am hoping to be at my desk by 7:00. Have a great Wednesday.

  1. We keep ours at 66 degrees (even though Canada is on the metric system most of our thermostats come from the USA). We both have arthitis so I can't see lowering it from there. My electric blanket has been cranked up every night :)

    1. While I hate the costs, it sure is nice to no freeze in our own home.
