I never seem to quite get as much as I want done on a long weekend. The Night at the Jazz Club was really fun. Both shows were terrific. This is her Jazz directors last year. She was her Freshmen girls director as well as her mixed choir director in 10th grade. With the last two years in Jazz, that's four years studying with her. I put in a lot more volunteer hours than I planned. It amazes me how some people are a bit clueless to what needs to be done for events like this and think volunteering is more a social hang out. Still, for show two, I was purely an audience member, though helped with tear down after.
We sort of got the appliances picked out. We have to order the refrigerator as we need a slightly more narrow version. We are not going top of the line, but an upgrade. We have floors picked out and they are coming to measure later in the week. It will all be quite tight to get it all done before the end of May, but should be doable. My job is to purge and move things from the kitchen, front closet, and entry hallway that is not essential. I'll keep plugging away at night, and hopefully all will be done as well as we hope. Someone asked for before and after pictures. Maybe once we get ready, I'll try and take some. Everything is more a refresh than renovation, so nothing major is happening. Onwards to Monday!

Our eldest daughter sang in a large jazz choir for 7 years all the way through undergraduate and law school we loved the concerts.
ReplyDeleteI believe there is a jazz choir/band at her college. I know she'd like to keep singing other than just chorale music.
