Avoiding these! |
It's my accountability day for managing my health and hopefully my weight loss. After a flat weigh in last week, I really worked hard this week to cram a bit more exercise into my days, even if it meant intentionally going up and down the steps a few extra trips. I have gotten much better about evening snacking-which I know contributes to the pounds, and managing what I'm eating in the day, enough to be satisfied, but not overestimating portion sizes. Drum roll please...my weight lost to date is 7 pounds, having lost 1 more pound since my last official weigh in. It's still along road, some weeks flat, some a smidge, but I'm ecstatic with the 1.
Weigh in is my first thing on my Saturday, followed by showering and getting coffee made. With Easter next week and my college kid home on Thursday night, I have a big to do list to get accomplished this weekend. I got weekly restock groceries, ok plus the ham, green beans and treats to send back with my daughter. She's not a huge candy girl other than Starburst Jelly beans ( which I bought) but found Easter themed alternatives like Oreos and Little Debbies. I tried to stay on top of the regular cleaning routine throughout the week, but there were a few lingering things I've put on my list to try and stay focused. This is a weekend list, not just today and will grow and side wind as I see other things needed done.
- Wash patio door window and front door sidelight windows
- Strip and wash, replace bedding
- Touch up dusting, done earlier, but it just feels like it is dusty
- Just a general tidy everywhere
- Do some more purging of my closet so I can drop off a donation-then drop off the donation
- Continue on DD2's room
- Strip and wash the guest room and DD2's bedding and replace
- Clean my car out and vacuum
- Find or source plastic Easter eggs to fill
- Put out the minimal Easter decorations I have
- Buy an Easter Lily for MIL and myself
- Meal plan
It's cool but sunny here today. The weather is supposed to warm up again so that means storms next week.
ReplyDeleteExcellent job on the weight loss. 7 pounds is great.
I want expecting the beautiful day, but it sure got nice here. We took a photo with my friends at a fundraiser and I was so sad how I looked. Incentive.
DeleteWell done on the weight loss. I'm struggling to get past the five pounds I lost in January but I haven't been avoiding those darn jelly beans. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
I bought Starburst for DH and my daughter intentionally. I don't like the flavor.
DeleteWell done on the weight loss, Sam!
ReplyDeleteIt's been cold here, we've been on a six mile walk, I've been visited by two cats and ran up the garden to rescue the washing on the line when the heavens opened. Rum and pizza later (just for a change!) xxx
Those cats know a good thing! Six miles is great. My only alcohol this weekend was a small mini bottle with a skinny margarita.
DeleteOne pound is worth a celebration! Spring is well underway here, lots of flowers and trees blooming.
ReplyDeleteIt's better than gaining, but it's so slow going.
DeleteCongratulations on the weight loss! Cindy in the South
ReplyDeleteI pound more 73 more to go.
DeleteIt is full blown spring here, but the last two days have been a little too cool. Still flowers are blooming, the dogwoods are out and the azaleas are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteOh and did I mention the pollen. Achoo!
So far with so little growth, we've not had our nose assaulted. I look forward to color here.
DeleteHello Sam, I think that when you accomplish all those things on your list, you will be thin as a lath. Providing you stay away from those jelly beans.
ReplyDelete--Jim
No jelly beans in the house that I like. I wish weight loss worked that way.
Deletehow on earth can you or anyone avoid an open bowl of jelly beans I want to know.
ReplyDeleteI buy Starburst as I intensely don't like their flavors!
