Fun in the Sun

We have a plan of action. I haven't hit the store yet, but DD and I will be packing all non food items with an empty cooler, then getting groceries and going from store to cooler and saving steps. We are picking up two friends, before 10:00 and will be lakeside by 11:30. She invited a couple others, but their family plans didn't work.  One of the girls was with us last 4th of July and the other is M, my 3rd daughter, so girls that I love my daughter having extra time with. I hit the jackpot with kids, and they hit the jack pot with their friends. I may just swing in and pick up Subway on route to eat once we are there and not worry about preparing lunch. I have a stack of magazines that have accumulated unread and my lap top to actually work on my book a bit (yes it is still in process-not abandoned completely.)Yay! Three days of relaxation. I will have spotty to no internet or phone as T-Mobile is not big in the Wisconsin area, but I am OK with that.  I just checked e-mail and voice mail for work, and nothing can't wait until Monday.

Groceries will be loads of fruit and veggies for snacking and meals, hamburger, hot dogs, and chicken, and stuff for vegetarian chili and salads. I'll get some munchie type stuff, but not going crazy with snacks.  I'll bring tea bags for making ice tea by the pitcher and lemonade. My niece and her BF may be up-she had sent an e-mail to DD1 wondering if she was going to be there. If she is, that will work out well as I am not comfortable driving the boat, so the girls would need to wait to tube until Sunday. My niece is comfortable with it, and I can pay her back in food and wine. You didn't think I'd forget the wine, did you?

Summertime!!!

  1. Hi Sam I hope you have a fabulous weekend. My little blog has gone into a decline until I get home so as ever I'm impressed with your commitment. Good luck with your book too.

    1. Ate ad ate! I didn't even finish a bottle of wine, and I think I left one behind for the next cabin dwellers next weekend.
