Simply Amazing

Life can be really good. I don't mean going on vacations to Europe good, but the simple acts of kindness, unexpected sights of wonder and beauty, and opportunities to learn and experience new things everyday. My daughter took this shot on her way to work yesterday morning. She said in her Facebook post she had to pull over to take a picture. Others must have as well as all over my Facebook, others had taken the time to stop, view, and capture the simply amazing sunrise we had in our part of Minnesota yesterday morning. I was already at the office, but even through windows, we could see the glorious colors. I haven't really chosen a word for the new year. I somewhat joked yesterday about Strategerie being my word. Perhaps Amazing would be better, a reminder to keep my eyes open for all life can offer especially in the most ordinary and simplest of time.

  2. My word for the year is "gift". I am trying to be aware of a particular gift each day brings, and record it so at the end of the year I can thumb through my list and see and remember the good things. I would have counted that beautiful sunrise as a gift because it a present from the universe.

    1. It has been so gray-this was sorely needed to call in the new year.

  4. Beautiful! I've been enjoying our balmy weather- close to 80 almost everyday during Christmas- and yesterday was a grey, rainy one. We really do need to appreciate what nature gives us.

  5. Beautiful! And you're right, there is beauty & amazing moments within every day of life, not just the European vacations. Although those are great too!

    1. With very specific priorities for the next four and 1/2 years, it is essential that I embrace everyday wonder and things of interest. Maybe finances will change for the better, and I am not saying they are bad, but to not plan travel for a while, my mindset has to be to appreciate every thing I get to experience.
