- DD2 needed to make something for bake sale. With no oven still, grrr, I bought ingredients for rice kriispie bars. I had a 1/2 bag of chocolate chips. I believe the minimum donation is $3.00 a plate, so her club should net a few dollars profit. (well they net it all). It was gluten free so should sell right away.
- I ate mystery leftover from the freezer twice this week. I thought about not bothering, but the bowls were right there. One turned out to be chili-delicious. The other, mediocre overly thick soup.
- I gathered several parking and mileage claims for submission. It is my money and I deserve to get it back.
- We were too busy to eat at the dinner break of the show choir comp, but I had a box lunch (provided because I had a full day job), and then we frugally ate some scrambled eggs and toast when famished, we were home at midnight.
- I used a gas card to fill up, and skipped getting a coffee.
It is the little things. I'm in a weather funk, but no need to get crazy with spending. Book club is finally rescheduled for tonight. It should be the start of a nice weekend. How are your February funds doing?
It's the little things some weeks! Good job finding ways to save. We've done just the small things this week as well.
ReplyDeleteWhen you realize e alternative of the small things, such as eating mystery meals compared to eating out for lunch, the price difference just jumps then the savings over time is really evident.
DeleteFunds are fine. Everything else is wearing me down. I know this too shall pass, but man, I am drained.
ReplyDeleteI love a good Rice Krispie treat!
Moving homes is one of the biggies for stressors-and you have had that on your plate a long time. Good luck with managing it all.
DeleteHey rice krispies are always a favorite.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they sold. We still bought a plate of cookies-ym, oatmeal scotchies!
DeleteThe rice krispie treats were a great call for the bake sale.
ReplyDeleteWe have mystery meals a lot. You would think I would learn how to label everything I put in the freezer, but . . .
With the bit of chocolate, plus we cut the pan in half, each half into 6 large squares, then diagonally cut them like they do in cafe's, her plates looked really nice.
