Tuesday Feeling

I woke up feeling like it's Tuesday. I don't feel rested anymore. I had to take a Benadryl both Sunday night and last night. I had picked  some hydrangeas for my  mother in law at the lake. She wanted a big bouquet and was worried she was going to miss them. They were stunning-stupid that I didn't get a picture. First I had them in a vase in the house, and after 30 minutes, I was sneezing up a storm. We moved them outside, but I had to take them home and then to her house. The remnants were in the car, causing another sneezing fit yesterday morning and night on my way home. Hopefully the scent and pollen and have dispersed. I didn't know I was allergic to flowers, but I guess I am to them. I only take one of the up to 2, and do not take the  repeat doses as Benadryl hits me like a ton of bricks. I have hangover head this morning.

I'm trying the coffee my daughter brought me form Iceland. I'm not sure it is a particularly famous kind, or a kind people take home, but she knows I love my coffee and like to compare versions when I travel. It is good-nice and dark but doesn't taste bitter. Her friend from the UK that she met there had sent a  box of English Breakfast tea home with her for me. Isn't she so sweet. She also brought Jelly babies for DD2, who went nuts for the on our trip.

I have a pan of vegan brownies about to come out of the oven. We are having a staff meeting/lunch as a celebration for coming through the move unscathed! These are not gluten free, so I couldn't please all in the division, but we are ordering at least one gluten free pizza and salad. I borrowed some ground flax seed from DD2 as it comes in a large  bag and I only needed the two tablespoons. Even though it sure already feels like Tuesday, it's a short week. I still, fingers crossed, have Friday off. I hope your day is off to a good start and finishes just as positive.

  1. Have you ever made black bean brownies? I am not sure what category they fall into. I always pick daffodils, bring them in, and then have to move them to another room or outdoors. It is a bummer to be allergic to all that beauty.

  3. Sorry for the allergic reaction. It is not fun and those flowers are so beautiful.
The hydrangeas here were not particularly lovely this year, and are pretty much bloomed out already. Now it is time to shape them up for next year. I should have done it when we had the cooler days last week because I have to wear long sleeves to keep from getting scratched by the branches.

    1. These were very beautiful, but I think prettier on the bush with all the greenery, but she would have missed them entirely as a couple were already getting brown.

    1. I hope it was to just those, and not a warning of future flower problems as I love flowers.
